The integrated healthcare support organization’s proven model enables specialists to own and grow their practices while enhancing collaboration with general dentists and improving patient access to specialty care
PDS Health™ recently announced an expansion of its specialty dental support organization (DSO) and specialist ownership model, adding new supported specialist-owned groups and increasing patient access to specialty care. The platform now spans seven states—Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia—and delivers endodontic and periodontic care to more than 160 general dentistry practices through these specialist-owned groups.

PDS Health stated this model provides a structured path to ownership, offering financial and operational support, but also preserving clinical independence. Specialists gain equity in their business and benefit from PDS Health’s established infrastructure, while patients receive care in the same dental practices where they already see their general dentist, enhancing convenience and continuity of treatment.
“Working with PDS Health has allowed me to expand my practice while dedicating my focus to providing exceptional endodontic care,” said Eva Xiong, DDS, of Atlas Endo Partners in Tennessee, in a press release “Being able to offer specialty services like root canals in the same office where patients see their general dentist makes it easier for patients to accept treatment and follow through with their care plans. This model also gives me the support and flexibility to grow my business with confidence.”
The goal of the model is to offer specialists a sustainable path to ownership and long-term career growth. Today, this PDS Health model includes:
- Eight regionally aligned partnerships across seven states (Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia) with specialist-owned groups providing care in more than 160 general dentistry practices.
- Four specialty owners who partner with regional leaders for business support services and work with 26 associate specialists.
- Endodontic and periodontic care provided through specialist-owned groups within general dentistry offices, delivering a more seamless patient experience without the delays or inconvenience of off-site referrals.
By eliminating common barriers to ownership, this model enables specialists to focus on patient care while benefiting from PDS Health’s business and operational expertise. With a robust infrastructure, including appointment scheduling, billing and operational support, the integrated healthcare support organization enables specialists to integrate seamlessly into existing dental practices while growing their own businesses.
“This was an easy decision for me. PDS Health provides the resources so that all I have to do is focus on delivering the best care to patients. With their support, I’ve been able to expand my reach and improve outcomes for my patients,” added Dr. Xiong.
