For the fourth time, dental company is recognized as one of America’s Most Responsible Companies by Newsweek, highlighting its positive impact on improving access to oral healthcare for communities in need worldwide.
Dentsply Sirona has again been recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Most Responsible Companies. The honor, announced today, marks the fourth time the diversified manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, has garnered the impressive recognition.

This prestigious ranking highlights the company’s long-term commitment to a more sustainable dentistry which encompasses robust environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) practices. Dentsply Sirona credits its ranking to its ambitious sustainability program, “BEYOND: Taking Action for a Brighter World” and the various initiatives tied to it.
“We are proud to receive this recognition. It underscores our long-standing commitment to improve access to oral healthcare globally and to create healthy smiles. In that spirit, we joined our long-standing partners, the Amazon Doctors, to open the first dental digital clinic in an indigenous village located inside of Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, in Bertioga city, Sao Paulo”, said Andrea Frohning, SVP, chief human resources officer at Dentsply Sirona, in today’s press release.
Digital Dental Clinic
The clinic, which is brought to life because of an ongoing partnership between Dentsply Sirona and the Amazon Doctors, marks a revolution in access to specialized and comprehensive oral health care for approximately 1,000 indigenous people from the Rio Silveira village on the north coast of São Paulo, Brazil. Built in a 70m² space, the clinic will be operated by the Amazon Doctors, a non-profit organization that brings health and dignity to riverside and indigenous communities in the Amazon.
The clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art dental technology and supplies donated by Dentsply Sirona including a Primescan AC and a Sinius dental chair. It has the capacity to perform around 40 dental appointments per week across various specialties, including restorative dentistry, endodontics, and prosthetics, the company stated. The clinic will utilize intraoral scanners, digital impressions, and computer-assisted planning to generate diagnosis, planning, and treatment execution.

“By joining forces with Dentsply Sirona, we can create a brighter future for underserved communities. Together, we are improving access to oral health and strengthening the dignity, well-being, and autonomy of indigenous peoples,” added Dr. Caio Machado from the Amazon Doctors.
Lasting Impactful Partnerships
This newly established clinic exemplifies how Dentsply Sirona continues to transform dentistry by supporting local communities in a sustainable manner. The company’s aim is to offer long-term dental treatment access to remote populations and bring health and dignity to communities in need—and it is in this spirit that the company supported this action in an indigenous territory. The partnership between Amazon Doctors and Dentsply Sirona spans nearly 10 years and is part of the global sustainability program, “BEYOND: Taking Action for a Brighter World.”
Over this period, teams have traveled more than 60,000 kilometers by boat, plane, and road to improve oral health nationwide, delivering over 100,000 dental treatments across 52 indigenous communities in Brazil, according to Dentsply Sirona.
As part of BEYOND, Dentsply Sirona has also committed to enabling and empowering 25 million smiles by the end of 2025. Separate from the Amazon Doctors, the dental manufacturer is also partnering with other organizations such as Smile Train, Project 32 and TeamSmile to increase access to oral health.
