Dentsply Sirona Announces Faster Manufacturing Times for Primeprint and Introduces a Nitrogenerator for Simplified 3D Printing Workflow

Primeprint, Dentsply Sirona’s simple-to-use, highly automated, medical-grade, end-to-end 3D printing solution, is getting an upgrade that will help users increase efficiency. The company is also announcing the launch of an integrated and fully autonomous nitrogen supply for the Primeprint Post Processing Unit.

Dentsply Sirona, primeprint

Dentsply Sirona, the world’s largest diversified manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, announced a major upgrade to its Primeprint Solution, delivering faster print speeds across key applications and the launch of a new companion device: the Primeprint Nitrogenerator.

These innovations are designed to streamline dental lab and practice workflows, reduce hands-on time, and improve both the experience and outcomes for dental professionals.

Twice as Fast for Splints¹ — Greater Efficiency Across the Board

The Primeprint upgrade delivers significant performance improvements, particularly for the splint materials (Primeprint Splint, Primeprint Splint SF, and Primeprint Splint ST), Model, and Tray applications in the initial rollout. Nightguards can now be printed in approximately 14 minutes², cutting printing time nearly in half—a major gain for dental professionals seeking speed without sacrificing quality.

This speed boost requires inLab CAM to be connected to DS Core, Dentsply Sirona’s cloud-based platform for digital dentistry³.

Primeprint Nitrogenerator: Simpler, Smarter Nitrogen Supply

The new Primeprint Nitrogenerator replaces traditional nitrogen bottle handling, offering a fully autonomous nitrogen supply to the Primeprint Post Processing Unit. The device eliminates the need for frequent refills of bottles, simplifying the process and making it more convenient for dental professionals.

Beyond convenience, the integrated nitrogen flow during post-processing enhances the mechanical surface properties of the final printed parts, improving durability and overall quality⁴.

“Time is one of the most valuable resources in a dental practice. That’s why innovations like the latest speed upgrade for manufacturing and the new Primeprint Nitrogenerator are so impactful—they help teams work faster without compromising quality,” said Max Milz, Group Vice President of Connected Technology Solutions at Dentsply Sirona. “All of our latest innovations are designed to support dental professionals to unlock the power of Connected Dentistry—developing smart, integrated solutions that grow their practice, enhance efficiency, and drive excellent outcomes. Primescan 2 is a great example—offering a flexible, intuitive starting point to add new treatments to your portfolio at your pace and design your own workflow to fit your preferences.”
